Delete Your Account

Your data is yours. You can delete your Dietk account and all associated data at any time, in two ways.
Option 1: Delete from inside the app (recommended)
This is the fastest method and gives you immediate, verifiable deletion.
- Open the Dietk app on your device
- Go to Settings
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion
Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted from our systems within seconds. You will be signed out immediately.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app for any reason:
- Send an email to support@dietk.app from the email address associated with your account
- Use the subject line: "Account deletion request"
- Include any additional identifying information (registered phone number, sign-in method) to help us locate your account
We will verify your identity and delete your account within seven (7) business days. We will send you a confirmation email when the deletion is complete.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your account information (name, email, phone, country)
- Your profile data (age, height, weight, goals, etc.)
- All food logs and meal history
- All food photos you have uploaded
- All chat messages with the AI coach
- Water tracking, streak data, and progress history
- Notification preferences and FCM tokens
- All other personal data associated with your account
What happens after deletion
- The deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no waiting period and no recovery option.
- Backup copies of your data are purged from our backup systems within thirty (30) days as part of normal retention cycles.
- You can create a new Dietk account at any time using the same or a different identity. The new account will start fresh — none of your previous data will be restored.
What is NOT deleted
For legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons, we may retain:
- Anonymized usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you
- Records required by applicable law (for example, financial or tax records, if you ever made a purchase)
- Information necessary to enforce our Terms or respond to legal proceedings
These records are kept only for as long as required by law or our legitimate interests.
